To be honest: I was just walking from Central Station to Brussels South, a 20 minutes walk. But I always have a camera with me… (Tomorrow some more pictures of the urban context).
Very interessting portaits of interessting people!
Did you find them in the streets?
Ask them when you see them? Why are they so open to say yes? here they are always pissed when they see someone taking pictures 🙁
Well I cannot complain. I find the people and the people find me. Normally I always ask (and they almost never refuse). Sometimes there is no opportunity or time to talk to the people and I just take the picture. But, being as respectful as possible, I always show my camera and the way I’m making a picture; I never hide it and I’m always very close to every model. If someone would not like to be in my picture, I will respect this immediately.
I try to be open-minded and respectful and maybe people can see this? Or maybe it’s because I don’t look like a photographer with my tiny fuji x100…? Or maybe it’s my (only) talent to be convincing, to be trusted…? I must say I’m really interested in my ‘models’ and I do respect them all. Not being ambiguous is maybe what people appreciate in me..?
Great collection of pictures.
