Omtrent
‘Photography starts with the projection of the photographer, his understanding of life and himself into the picture’.
I am impressed 🙂
Mijn onmiddellijke omgeving inspireert mij iedere dag…. Verwondering is mijn brandstof.
Hi Luc- Thank you for following my photography blog. Hope you enjoy. You’ve got some terrific images posted. Will look forward to more.
Thanks for the compliment. Your more experimental, impressionist pictures have drawn my attention.
Greetings from Belgium.
Thank you. I enjoy that technique. Have you tried it? Nice to have a Belgium connection.
Oh yes, I tried it several times but I couldn’t add any artistic value to it. For my personal work I’m rather converted to ‘straight photography’, but (as a teacher) I’m open-minded for experiments…
Your work is wonderful. I do like to experiment to keep my creativity flowing. That’s great that you teach.
Well, let’s say that teaching gives me the luxury to appreciate many kinds of photography.
Thanks so much for visiting and following my blog! I appreciate it very much. I’ve enjoyed my visit here and look forward to following your work. 😀
I enjoy all kinds of photography. Yours (which is very aesthetic) too.
Fratello, Doamne, ce limba-i asta, fratioare???
Poate-mi spui si mie… ca nu pricep o iota! 🙂 😀
I’m afraid I do not understand Romanian very well, but I was pleased by the microscopic pictures on your blog…
Oops : my romanian linguistic skills are rather rare… Happy to find out what google transate could do for me.
I told her, about your language:
“It seems to be Dutch… so translate dear Google for me… 🙂
That means Luc is Belgian, established in the province West Flanders, region of Flanders. Unless if Wikipedia don’t fooled me. : oops:”
Even my English isn’t perfect, but I hope you’ll understand. If something is not accurate, please correct me!
I wish you all the best for this evening! 🙂
It is Dutch indeed. Google Translate and your English are accurate enough. Don’t worry.
Enjoy your summer!
Thank you for liking and following my blog. I am enjoying your photos and look forward to seeing more!
Watch out. More pictures to come…
Hey, Thanks for stopping by to check out my blog and the follow, hope you liked what you saw. Looking forward to seeing more from you, 🙂
Thank you for reading my blog. I admire your work very much and shall check in again soon.
Regards
Bob
Luc, thank you for stopping by my blog. YOU ARE AN AMAZING ARTIST!
I wouldn’t call myself an ‘artist’. This is a burdened word in Belgium, regarding the spiritual demands in becoming an artist. Let’s say I’m just amazed by reality and by the simple possibilities of photography. At least, that’s what I try to teach in a local Art School.
Greetings from Belgium.
Hi Luc! Thanks for following my blog, hope you enjoy. You’ve got some great shots! Will look forward to more.
Cheers,Laura
Hello Laura, it’s a joy to look at all of your great macro pictures. If I may be so bold : please make your inscription in the images less dominant. I know: pictures are stolen constantly. But your pictures are to beautiful to be dominated by your copyright.
Hello Luc! I thank you for the compliment .. but I’m an artist who also sells her work and the blog is purely a presentation platform. My work are only sold without my lettering, but not presented.
Aet of different. I ask for understanding 😉
You are forgiven….
Hello, Luc 🙂
Thank you for your visit… was a real surprise for me to discover your page. I love black and white photos – they have a special charm. 😎
Have a great evening… I’ll be back soon! 😉
I never stop to discover interesting sites. It’s a continuous source of inspiration to me. Thanks for your comment.
Every site it’s a small part of the world. And this “world” of yours is beautiful. 🙂
Thanks for the compliment. ‘Astonishment’ is my principal inspiration in spite of my experiences with art teachers and art journalists…
Luc, thanks so much for both the like and the follow of my wee blog, mainly on Ireland. I will be putting up a gallery on the Cahirmee horse fair (one in B&W and one in colour), think you would like the B&w version so keep your eyes peeled. Interesting to see your own take on Belgium, look forward to more pictures. MM
You wrote : ‘However, we don’t always need to travel to encounter beauty. There is a lot of beauty in the everyday things around us. ‘
I discovered just the same. Allthough ‘beauty’ isn’t exactly what I’m looking in my country; I’m searching for ‘astonishment’. That’s satisfying enough for me. If I would live in Ireland, I would rather be looking for ‘beauty’ too, I guess. Nostalgic beauty maybe. (I’ve been several times to Ireland when I was a younger, exploring the island by bike. The beauty of the landscapes and the friendly people and the taste of Guinness and my stay on Inishbofin and…)
Greetings from my astonishing country…
The best way to travel on the islands – bicycle! You’re in tune. MM
You are right, except for ‘Inishbofin’, ‘the isle of the green cow’, if I remember well. It’s rather small; one can walk around it in a hour or so. I was stuck there for 10 days, starving while millions of rabbits were watching me, the lonely tourist…
I love your artistry! Your images are just beautiful. Thanks so much for stopping by my blog. Cheers!
Thanks. As a photographer I’m wandering and looking and cycling and thinking and….making pictures of things and people who astonish me, day by day…
I like your style, it’s interesting, puzzling and unique. And also, thank you much for both follows.
Reality, my environment, the people I meet, the light of summer : it’s all ‘interesting, puzzling and unique’. Since you write ‘Art doesn’t need to explain itself…’, I really must follow your blog. It shows sincerety, which I highly appreciate. Honest artists are hard to find (honest art teachers too…)
Luc, such a wonderful reply to my comment and yes, life is interesting and puzzling and you capture this with much simplicity which someone wise once said ‘is the art of great souls’. Honesty sure is key in my world of reality otherwise what’s the point? If no honesty, it’s all just a weary game.
Dear Hanne, ‘honesty’ is a characteristic I haven’t found yet in the professional ‘Art world’, neither as a student, nor as an art teacher. I find comfort for this shortage in every day life, every day persons, every day flaws. Since I’m astonished by these simple events, I drop any mark of pessimism or disdain. It’s a relief to find people who recognize the same views…
I know very little of the professional art world, but my sense is it can be a tough one, interestingly enough when most artists I know are thoroughly sensitive… It’s beautiful to hear you know your own sincere way and focus on this and not that of ‘others’. I trust this is the way, to stay true and the rest will follow, whatever that is. I don’t know why but Gandhi popped up now as an example of not judging the world as it is and give back in the same way, but simply stay true to his strong sense of peace and walk that road, regardless of how many rocks the world threw at him… that in my world, is the way. To turn rocks into flowers…
For my own part the door to an utterly unknown inner creative part cracked open only recently and I made a vow to myself never to loose touch with the wonder, love and simplicity of this creative space that isn’t mine to own, only to honor as best as I can and try not to get in the way of it and what wants to be expressed.
Regarding honesty, it is untouchable and it set ourselves and others free to be. Luc, thank you for the exchange of perspectives.
Hi Luc! Thank you for visiting and following my blog! Your photography is very inspiring, you are so good at bringing out the uniqueness in the usual.
Let’s say I’m quite interested in daily things, people and life…
