Lately I’ve been struck with how I really love what you can’t see in a photograph.  Diana Arbus

P.s. Notice to a retired photography student: photography is about what one sees, not about the efforts one needs to perform to get a picture.

There is no such a thing as artistic photography. In photography, like in all things, there are people who can see and others who cannot even look.

Sunday payback & playtime.

The collodion process is an early photographic process – I made these at 7am, this morning. It took me about 15 seconds, to demystify the idea of craftsmanship. (And I even neglected my Photoshop skills lately.)

I feel a little like Cassandra-like figure, popping up in the Land of Local Catholic Artists.

P.s. People say photographs don’t lie, mine do. Honestly.

Someone said:

‘I really believe there are things nobody would see if I didn’t photograph them’

It must have been on a Sunday, when she wrote it.
