I wonder more about what’s hidden beneath the coats that are hanging on the easel 🙂
And I just love the shirt on the man in the fourth picture down from the top. A perfect fashion choice that goes well with his surroundings.
I’m afraid it has something to do with… boredom. Or let’s say: old traditions (village fair, cycling event) are changing and this a period of transition. In which people are speachless and bored (about the common things) and afraid of the change that could happen (no more fairs, no more ice cream stand.) As a photographer it’s easy to capture this; there is no artistic or spiritual meaning in it. It’s all about being sensitive to experiences and expressions of others.
I wonder what the men are thinking in the first image. Great captures!

Flemish fashion…and black money.
