Thanks. Documentary style may be more correct. The people in the pictures were very aware of my presence, but they didn’t care much. I have become part of the daily staff in the asylum centre; a photojournalist would remain an anomaly in their daily life and would make totally different pictues, based on spectacular events and on efficient time management. I look for the opposite of this approach.
I’m sorry : I’m a teacher… 🙂 I keep on thinking about photography and about Susan Sontag, even during holidays…. A poor compensation for my lack of real education in photography. (I only had some clowns as photography teachers, but that’s another question…:) )
P.s. don’t worry : most of professional photographers and photography teachers don’t know the difference between journalistic and documentary style. It’s the difference between a prosaic bill and a poem.
