Great post. And I agree. The eye is everything. Joseph Gillain, aka Jijé, as he was teaching Franquin would tell him: “when you draw, don’t look at your paper, look at the subject, and let your hand draw”. 🙂

A good point. Quand je vois les prix d’un Van Gogh aujourd’hui et qu’il est mort pratiquement dans la misère… Better art for pleasure indeed. A +.
