…it’s the childish amazement (rejected by art-experts and art-teachers…At some time I will reveal a sound recording of a professional photo-jury…it’s amazing too).
Sommigen zeggen dat een fuji x100 traag werkt. Afstammend uit een analoog tijdperk kan ik het daarmee moeilijk eens zijn. Het ‘voor-zien’ maakt vele milliseconden goed.
Dank voor je commentaar.
You must hear what Carl De Keyzer (Belgian Magnum photographer) last week said, in front of 500 photographers: ‘The decisive moment is an old-fashioned way of making pictures. Just do it in photoshop…’ I must say, I do not agree.
I think he is loosing his fight against growing older, lazier and considering the world in a more cynical way… He could be teaching photography one day.
May i remark it’s not the decisive moment that’s great captured here, it’s the light that makes the picture. Without shadow it would have been a decisive moment photo. With light (and shadow!) it’s more: surrealistic. Perfect!
Let’s say it’s a congruence of light and shadow, of an exciting moment, of enhancing reality (by asking the boy to do this performance), by looking for context and aesthetics and finally by pushing the button at the right moment. Photography is simple, if you just do it.
fabuleus!
Fuji x100…
just as the saying goes: it’s not the camera… 😉
great!!
Thanks. Still I must confess I was just amusing myself…

neither do I…unless there is some inner meaning in his words, which is not apparent!

Wat een standpunt!
Ik hou van geordende context.
